amy and steve........the wedding

amy and steve's wedding was cold and rainy, but did it bother them? well....if it did there was no way to tell. they spend the whole day with a smile on their faces. i love it when couples are focused on their love, and the importance of that and their marriage and not all the other details they can't control. both amy and steve were SO laid back and easy going and in love. AND i so enjoyed getting to see amy's family again (i shot her sister meri's wedding two months back) i love this family! they are so sweet and make me feel right at home every time i see them. Thank you so much amy and steve for letting me into your day to capture your memories. i had a blast, it was gorgeous and i hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

of course it isn't a wedding blog post from me without a couple ring shots....

this was the cutest thing EVER! the two flower girls went down the aisle....older sister dropping the petals, baby sister picking them up. and she was COMMITTED to getting them ALL....she was still picking them up when amy and her dad came down the aisle...it was ADORABLE! 

i've said it before and i will say it again......i am a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of joy and enthusiasm on your wedding day

when the rain stopped we snuck down to the river for some moody dusky portraits

cutie pie little girls.....the littlest was REALLY eager to have her picture taken....

 

they had the traditional "anniversary dance" where all married couples get on the dance floor and have to leave according to the number of years they have been married. then the couple that has been married the longest gives advice to the married couple........ you can imagine the husbands advice to elicit such a response ;) {i won't repeat it here....but it was great!}

thanks again amy and steve...... for having such great attitudes on your wedding day.....for not letting the little things get to you......and for having me capture your special day....it was WONDERFUL!

.....that song was running through my head as i was editing this sneak peek. i was so flattered when karen solverson, a talented area photographer, contacted me to take her extended family photos. it always is a huge compliment (and also makes me nervous!) to do photos for another photographer. i had so much fun with this big family---this was a first for me, i haven't done family portraits for such an extended group before. enjoy your sneak peek guys....there is, of course, a lot more where this came from

ashley and scott

ashley and scott had a really chilly evening for their engagement session, but it was a great one nonetheless. We took their pictures all over ashley's family farm....what a gorgeous place for pictures. and they had their horses in some of the pictures, which was AWESOME. I absolutely LOVEloveLOVE when couples incorporate things they like to do together into pictures. it helps a true sense of the couple to shine through. thanks guys for a great evening and i look forward to your wedding next year!

Carter and family

carter's session was rainy, but still fun! thankful the rain mostly held off until the end of the session. Carter is insanely adorable! i had a blast with him and his family.....

 

  

 

  

becky and jeff......the wedding

i have another new sister in law! Yay! Yep, both my brother AND matt's oldest brother were married in September. Becky and Jeff had an absolutely gorgeous day for wedding....after rain threatening for the whole week before, we were really thankful for that. The outdoor wedding was held at Justin Trails, and Jeff and Becky had gorgeous decorations and flowers. And an incredibly awesome wedding party. I love it when people have so much fun on their wedding day. Now....on to the pictures.....there are lots of them. (this is another one that should have been a two parter, but for times sake i am cramming it into one post)

kristi's cakes and pastries in wilton wisconsin made these awesome cookies and their gorgeous cake. she does SUCH amazing work. seriously. CALL HER!

tanya + scott.......engagement

it was a lovely fall evening when i met tanya and scott for their engagement session. it was great hanging out with them at their house, and i can't wait until their wedding in April. Thanks guys for a great evening!
