becky and frank.....engaged

becky and frank's sneak peek is the first of four engagement sessions i have ready for the blog, so stay tuned for more.

when we met up last sunday for becky and frank's session, i was glad to see the sun shining. it was a little windy, but given the way last week started, i was happy it was warm(ish). these two are a super fun couple, and i had a great time with them. we went to some places around la crosse that were special to the two of them, i love to shoot at places that have meaning for the couple. and.....becky and frank have no fear.... you'll see! Thanks guys! oh, and during our session becky mentioned how much she likes black and white photographs, so I am including lots in her preview!

   

  

 so.....this is why i say that becky and frank are fearless. we went up to the bluffs where they got engaged (not grandad's bluff---for those interested---the 'other' ones....) and they were all for sitting close to the edge (they were careful). i, on the other hand, was freaking out. even to look at the picture kind of freaks me out. I have NEVER been afraid of heights, and i wouldn't say i really am now...but when i get up on high places like that, the worried mom in me comes out, and i can't help but be a little freaked out. i actually made them move back from the edge in a few shots because i just couldn't handle it.

jamie and chris.....the wedding

jamie and chris had beautiful fall day for their wedding....and what a beautiful wedding it was! jamie and chris, and their adorable daughter kaydence, are such an adorable family. i had such a great time capturing their day. all of the fall details were awesome, the light was great {again!} and everything was so nice! thanks guys for having me.... {sorry, it is late when i am writing this and i am short on words, but everyone comes for the pictures, right?}

dana and corey.....engaged

after a week of nasty weather, i was SO happy when friday was an awesome day for dana and corey's engagement session. i headed over their house in reedsburg for their pictures, and i am so happy i did. they had no shortage of AWESOME places for pictures. seriously, a total awesome location overload. we went to an old gravel pit, and i think i could have shot there for a couple of hours. and dana and corey were awesome. totally up for anything.....and when i found out dana shares my total dislike for a certain cheesy posed shot, i knew we were a match made in photographic heaven. thanks guys for an awesome afternoon! 

ok, you are going to see a re-accuring theme with dana and corey's shots. i was totally feeling "through the ________" shots for their session...

brittany and bryce....engaged

last sunday i met up with brittany and bryce (and their adorable son) for their engagement session. it was a SUPER DUPER cold day, but they were troopers! thanks guys for a great session and I am excited for your wedding next year! 

 

megan and jeff's wedding

i KNEW when i met megan and jeff for their engagement session that i would have tons of fun on their wedding day. i mean, seriously, they ROLLED down a hill! And I was not disappointed. Seriously, Megan and Jeff are insanely kind, loving, and awesome people and it shone through on every part of their wedding day. I just had so much fun with them, capturing their day. Even though it was COLD they didn't let it get to them in the slightest. And they were up for anything......and, and, and....there are tons of ands.... but i could sit here and gush, or i could get on with the pictures.....so with out further ado....

   

the flower girls were ADORABLE. i couldn't get enough of them

megan and jeff's priest gave an AMAZING message. incredibly personal, and just so nice. and everything he said about the two of them was just so true! i LOVED their reactions to what he was saying

 

i love when the song "how beautiful" is sung at weddings....{it was the song i walked down the aisle to}....it gets the tears started every time

so i was totally loving them, and the field and the light....and then megan made my dreams come true when she said "can we lay down?" YAY! I know Jeff felt kind of silly, but I think it is just too cute!

Megan and Jeff had a funny little "how well do you know us" trivia game while people were getting their dinner. i loved it. So cute and personal and helped to pass the time

i seriously cannot get over some of my couple's first dances. megan and jeff did dances out of movies...

and i can see where megan got her dance moves...her dad was quite the dancer too

i really like that megan's shadow is in this picture, but she isn't....lol....i am weird, i know

i have been enjoying awesome renditions of "summer loving" lately.....megan and jeff did not disapoint

thanks megan and jeff, for braving the cold {you can't even tell you were freezing in the pictures}, for laying in the grass, for busting out some killer dance moves, and for having me there to capture it all. i had a blast!

patricia and joel

patricia and joel are getting married next april and i am so looking forward to their wedding. they are such a fun couple. we had a lovely afternoon at wildcat for their pictures.... the weather was perfect {this was before this crazy winterish weather descended upon us} the colors have been appearing and joel and patricia are so great together. thanks for a lovely day!

another big family group. i had a great time with this extended family..... even though it was cold....thank you for all being troupers (especially kevin with his leg!) you guys are awesome. it was great to see you all again! i know this isn't as many photos as i usually post, but life has taken a turn for the even more crazy....... so i hope you enjoy your sneak peek (even though it is a tiny bit smaller than usual)
